Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Arcade Games Now (https://arcadegamesnow.com) collects when you visit and play, how it is used, and the choices you have. Arcade Games Now is run by Redharth, an independent game studio, which is responsible for your information under this policy. If you have questions, email [email protected].
Information we collect
You don't need an account to play, and we don't collect your name, email address or other contact details unless you choose to email us. If you do, we use your message only to reply to you, and delete it once it's no longer needed.
Game saves and settings
Our games keep your progress, high scores and settings in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data is not sent to us and is only used to make the games work. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts visits and measures how fast pages load for us, without cookies and without following you across other sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The games
Everything the games need, including their code and fonts, comes from this site. Apart from the hosting and visit counting described above, they don't connect your browser to any other company, and they don't use cookies.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites, and to measure how ads perform.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their consent before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of every page.
Visitors in US states with privacy laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for personalised ads through the privacy message Google shows on pages with ads, or in Google's My Ad Center.
Why we use your information
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:
- Personalised ads and advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with Privacy settings.
- Hosting the site and keeping it secure: our legitimate interest in running a site that works and is protected from abuse.
- Replying to your emails: our legitimate interest in answering you.
Sharing and international transfers
We don't sell or rent your information for money. Under some US state laws, letting Google use cookies for personalised ads can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; you can opt out as described above. Google and Cloudflare may process information in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, the Australian Privacy Act or US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw your consent.
- Game saves are only on your device, so you can delete them yourself at any time.
- For ad choices, use Privacy settings or Google's My Ad Center.
- For anything else, email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or the supervisory authority in your EU country.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
