Every exit leads deeper.
A first-person exploration and survival horror game. You are a night-shift building surveyor sent to measure an annex that isn't on any plan, and every exit leads deeper: 1,000 levels across 20 worlds of impossible architecture.
Each level gives you a job and an exit to find, with optional discoveries along the way. Something hunts you on every level, and the way it hunts changes from one level to the next.
Features.
- 1,000 levels in 20 worlds of 50 levels each, from The Empty Wing and The Drowned Atrium to The Archive and The Final Expanse, each with its own look, sound and jobs.
- Ten kinds of job: find the exit, restore power, recover components, access a terminal, work the switches, trace a signal, escape, solve a symbol puzzle, hold a survival beacon or investigate an anomaly.
- Eight kinds of hunt: the Stalker closes in, the Ambusher waits on your route, the Listener hunts by sound, the Sentinel walks a beat, the Pack circles your light, The Dark cuts the power, the Mimic fakes sounds, and The Run breaks loose once your job is done.
- Original creatures, including the Observer that watches from far away, the Pursuer, the Sentinel with its judging lamp, the blind Echo and the Warden.
- Your kit: a flashlight, the Signal Locator that points to your goal, the Pulse Emitter that stuns, and the Flare Projector that lights and lures.
- Up to three stars per level, a daily shift that's the same level for everyone each day, and 100 field notes to find.
How to play.
- Read your job in the top left, and follow the Signal Locator to it.
- Watch the edges of the screen: a sound marker and a pulse that quickens show a hunter closing in.
- Stun hunters with the Pulse Emitter, or fire a flare to light the way and lure them off.
- Finish the job, then reach the exit before whatever hunts you does.

Tips for The Night Floor.
- The Pulse Emitter arrives on level 3. It stuns in a cone, and holding the button charges it. Press R to recharge it from a spare cell.
- The Flare Projector arrives on level 8. A flare lights up a dark room and draws hunters towards it, away from you.
- You don't need sound to read a hunter: a directional sound marker, an edge pulse that quickens as it closes in, a noise meter while the Listener hunts, and a flicker before the power fails all warn you.
- Stars only unlock flashlight colours, never progress, so you can leave a star for later and come back for it.
- Stuck on a level? After a few failed tries the hunt quietly eases off: the hunter arrives later and builds up more gently.
- Hold Tab to check your objectives and a sketch map of the level.

The Night Floor FAQ.
Can I play The Night Floor on a phone or tablet?
Yes. A joystick on the left moves you (push it to the edge to sprint), dragging on the right looks around, and on-screen buttons fire, jump, crouch, use, turn on the light, open the map and pause.
Does The Night Floor save my progress?
Yes, automatically, in your browser on this device: the levels you've reached, your stars, your daily shift best time and your streak. Clearing site data resets it.
What is the daily shift?
The same level for everyone each day (UTC), always with a twist. It records your best time, and your streak counts the days you play, with one missed day a week covered.
How many levels are there?
1,000, in 20 worlds of 50. Every 25 levels there's a special level (a blackout, a chase or a survival), every 50 a new world and a Warden encounter, and level 1,000 has a final sequence.
The Night Floor is free to play online, with no download or sign-up. Your progress saves in this browser automatically. Updated .
